Ashford Primary School opened in 1971. Originally the school was designed as an "open concept" building. The classes of today are self-contained. With the opening of our two new wings, all classes will be housed in permanent buildings specifically designed to meet the needs of the young learner.

Ashford has a library, gymnasium, computer lab, science lab, music room and art room. All children in Kindergarten through Second Grade have instruction in each of these special areas. Ashford has a full time nurse, two speech therapists, four special education classes and a bilingual class at every grade level.

School hours are Monday through Thursday will be: First Bell: 7:35 AM, tardy bell at 7:40AM. Dismissal will be at 3:05 PM.  Friday will be: First Bell: 7:35AM, tardy bell at 7:40AM. Dismissal will be at 12:50PM.

All students are to be uniform everyday. Information regarding the uniform style and supplier is available from the school office.

Every grade level has three to four field trips per school year.
Average class size is 22 students.

Neighborhood Gifted and Talented Programs - Vanguard - are offered.
